Authoring pixel art for an unnamed 2D platformer game.
Making characters, enemies, armor, weapons, items, terrain, parallax backgrounds, HUD, UI, etc.
Proving out animations for combat, movement, exotic materials, smooth object rotations, several potential FX, & armor designs.
Combat Balancing
Designing enemy behavior, navigation, and combat abilities.
Tuning enemies to feel both fair, challenging, and just predictable enough to outsmart or outplay them.
Designing equippable armor to uniquely augment player characters with specific abilities.
This keeps gameplay fresh and allows switching playstyles similar to changing heroes in other games (Overwatch, TF2, MOBAs, etc.)

This was a self portrait made for a college class assignment.
This painting did not use any AI assistance, because it predates those tools by about a decade.
Class assignment from when I was first learning photoshop in 2010.
This piece was supposed to teach us how to use with paths, and to use filters on layers which created the blown out sky.
This predates access to AI, and relied solely on photoshop tools and brushwork.

Subject, colorization, and the landscape composition were all digitally painted as original art.
Detailing and stylization here is courtesy of AI refinement.
Made this for the banner at the top of this page using the same method.
Painted the vibrant sky, defined the structure of the mountains, snowbanks, and the color selection are all original. The AI filled in a lot of the texture.
Gave the the AI the most freedom to deviate from my picture in this painting.
The colorization and general composition were still mine. The original had alien architecture but it was replaced with various Earthly elements.
The bridge's distinct profile came through, but more conventional housing elements were added below. I plan to return to this piece in the future.
